Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Cambridge, MA, United States
MIT's Center for Quantum Engineering (CQE) coordinates close to 100 faculty and staff spanning physics, EECS, nuclear science, and mechanical engineering, plus MIT Lincoln Laboratory, with research covering superconducting qubits, quantum algorithms, quantum photonics, and quantum software. Graduate study runs through standard departmental Master's/PhD programs alongside iQuISE, an NSF-funded interdisciplinary quantum information science and engineering PhD training program, and MIT xPRO offers non-degree professional quantum courses. MIT also runs iQuHACK, an annual quantum hackathon that draws over a thousand student and early-career participants worldwide.
